SOLID HARDWOOD FLOORING

Of all the solid hardwood floorings available on the market Junckers is the premium product, it is our belief that it stands head and shoulders above all others.

Junckers is produced in Denmark from largely home grown timber in managed and sustainable forests. Junckers was one of the very first exporters to the U.K. of factory finished strip flooring and innovators in what was then the new method of installation - floating floors.

14mm

Unlike most other suppliers of pre-finished hardwood flooring Junckers' construction is simple, 100% solid hardwood in 14mm, 20.5mm and 22mm thickness, usually supplied in two strip pattern, but Merbau, Ash, Jatoba, Jarah and three styles of Oak are produced in a wide board plank (20.5mm thickness). Most timbers are available in Lacquered or Oiled finish. The 14mm product is used as an overlay to be installed over flat, level sub-floors whereas the 20.5mm & 22mm boards are frequently secret nailed over joists or on top of their undercarriage system.

Both gauges can be secretly nailed or laid as floating floors using the Junckers quick clip system. Instead of glueing the tongue and groove together, they have a metal clip that locks into a groove found in the back of the board. This makes for a very cleanly and quickly installed floor that can be walked on immediately as there is no need to wait for any adhesives to dry and set.

We could not possibly carry the full range of Junckers' products at Pennine, so we carry their two fastest moving lines, 14mm Beech and Oak in Harmony grade. All other timbers, grades and 22mm floorings are supplied within seven days via their U.K. head office in Essex.
